If you are asked to go to the update meeting don't go. It is basically another way for Diamond to ***.

They basically tell you what you paid $20,000+ is no longer good unless you buy more points to upgrade and the upgrades are just a ploy you get nothing worth the amount they get. I cant wait to get away from Diamond. This was the last straw. Whatever you do don't sign up for the "Sampler Package to see the new features of your current membership!

they tell you that the sampler package offers all the same resorts as we have now but it is really only about 10. They list some that of course you can't get into.

Product or Service Mentioned: Diamond Resorts International Vacation Package.

Reason of review: Not as described.

Monetary Loss: $3000.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Good luck getting away. Diamond will not buy back, Diamond will not even let you give back, you cannot sell your points to anyone who is not in "The Club", if you do manage to sell / give your points to someone who is in "The Club" they will need to purchase additional points to the tune of approximately $12k to join the points with their existing points.

We attended the same "owners update" meeting a couple of weeks ago basically just to address our concerns about maintenance fees are too high, can never get into any place that we want to go (even looking several months to one year in advance), points needed to go to places seem to be increasing, and places we have ended up getting into recently are in poor condition and no where near the "5-star resorts" that they tout during the sales presentation. Diamonds solution to address our concerns??

Buy more points to increase our "level". This company sucks and is a complete scam.
