I bought my points (600 points) with Monarch Grand Vacation Resorts which was later taken over by Diamond Resort. We checked in a resort owned by Diamond resort in Palm Spring and they offered for us to attend a presentation.

During the presentation they excessively bad-mouth Monarch (they are bankrupt, you will lose your points anytime) which is a sort of panick selling advertisement. I was convinced so I upgraded and now I have a total of 24000 points. They did not mentioned that the maintenance fee of almost $5,000.00 is to be paid as a whole amount when billed. They also did not give me a copy of the Real Estate purchased receipt.

They made it appear that I bought all the points from them instead of showing I carried over points from Diamond Resort. I called them so many times but did not get any response. Very frustrating. The sweet talk of selling turned to a nightmare of very poor customer service.

It was a big mistake upgrading to Diamond Resort.Very dishonest people.

Review about: Diamond Resorts International Vacation Ownership.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

I liked: Great vacation location.

I didn't like: Very dishonest marketing department, Ignore complaints.
