After almost 4 hrs at The point at Poipu, Koloa, Hawaii (island of Kauia) we were offered THE Sampler Membership Agreement. This “agreement” is not what we stated, repeatedly, as our travel goals.

The portions special fic to this were misrepresented/lied about, covered up. Specifically, our interest in only a few specific properties, a date given to the “manager” - John Cunningham, and his commitment to “reserve” the dates and property. Reviewing the document, after leaving, we saw what had been hidden, but was verbally, by several parties confirmed, that we had to reserve ONLY at specific locations, not the larger *** reviewed with all staff that worked with us. We went on line and found this is a significant problem, many complaints, and warnings.

We requested that the agreement, in writing, reflect our right to cancel within 7 days. We have written and sent our request to the corporate offices in Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as Mr. Cunningham, by e-mail he provided if “we needed any help” and certified mail. We have reported them to the BBB in Nevada and Hawaii, provided to the company that set up this event, Boss Frog’s in Kapaa, Kauia a detailed accounting if our experience, and will be writing to local print publications, social media, and other media as necessary.

They lied about pricing, told ys we could not stay at any of their locations without being a member and so much more. Going on line, we could have secured a reservation, with The Point at Poipu with an owner, for $300 a night. $400 less than their deceitful quote. DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY.

Learn from us, albeit trusting and naive, and save your vacation time and money! We paid a $349 deposit, total cost $3995.

Absolutely, every person lied to us.Multiple times.

Review about: Diamond Resorts International Vacation Ownership.

Reason of review: Pricing issue.
